What is counselling/psychotherapy? Psychotherapy is a broad term used to describe talking therapies, including counselling. Both counsellors and psychotherapists provide a service for those looking for support for a wide range of mental health and emotional concerns.
How do we start working together? If, after your initial free consultation you decide you would like to work with me you will receive a contract which is the agreement between client and therapist. It outlines what you can expect from me and what I expect from you. Once you have read and understood the contract it should be signed, dated and returned to me to proceed with counselling.
How many sessions will I need? Sessions are normally weekly, however, if you prefer, bi-weekly or monthly sessions can be arranged. You can have as many or as few sessions as you feel you need.
What happens if I miss a session? I require 48hrs notice to cancel a session or the fee remains payable. You can cancel a session via email or by leaving me a telephone message.
